Program Name: Woodlands Aikido Center
Program Address: 1045 Pruitt Rd, Spring TX
Contact Phone: (832) 592-3781
Website: http://aikidocenter.com/
Detail: The Woodlands Aikido Center is a traditional school of aikido affiliated with Aikido Kobayashi Dojo and Aikido World Headquarters in Tokyo, Japan. We opened in 1997, and are still the only professional school of aikido in Montgomery County. Shinjinkan Dojo is a well-equipped, warmly inviting facility with 1600 square feet of quality tatami mat space, traditional cedar-built decor, and comfortable amenities. We are located in a wooded setting less than one mile from I-45. Our Sensei, Michael Black, has been teaching for 30 years. He was a student of the late Toyoda Fumio Shihan, and is currently a foreign Uchideshi of Kobayashi Yasuo Shihan. Kobayashi Shihan was himself a longtime Uchideshi of the founder of Aikido, Ueshiba Morihei O-Sensei. We offer quality instruction for anyone interested in this "Life-style" martial art, as well as an innovative and very popular "Rock Solid Kids" program.
