Detail: Texas Martial Arts Academy was established in 2010 by owner and instructor, Tony Castaneda. A native of Waco, Tony has been practicing and teaching TaeKwon-Do for over 30 years and Jiu-Jitsu for 5 years. In 1982 he received his black belt from his instructors Luis Suarez and Domingo Ramos Jr. In 2010 he became a student of the Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy under third generation instructors Ryron and Rener Gracie. TaeKwon-Do Lineage: Grandmaster Jhoon Rhee, father of U.S TaeKwon-Do, Grandmaster Allen Steen, father of Texas Karate, Roy Kurban, Dennis Gotcher, Luis Suarez and Domingo Ramos Jr. As such is continuing the tradition of producing "Texas Tough" fighters. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu lineage: Grandmaster Helio Gracie, Grandmaster Rorion Gracie, Ryron and Rener Gracie. As such adheres strictly to Gracie Jiu-jitsu techniques, principles and teaching methods. Texas Martial Arts Academy offers Kids, Adult, Little Ninjas, Combat Fitness and Womens Self-Defense programs.
