Detail: Our philosophy is to provide the student a curriculum of true combat-oriented teaching and discipline. It is designed for reality in self-defense encounters. Our goal is to equip the student with the necessary tools to survive an attack in close range, hand to hand combat. A high percentage of fights involve weapons, therefore, we provide the student a system to deal with those confronted on the street such as a bat, mag-light, crowbar, broken bottle ,stick, or knife. Reality supports that most fights end up on the ground. We have incorporated into our teaching a system to neutralize an attacker that has taken a smaller, weaker opponent to the ground. We divide our program into two broad categories: SELF PRESERVATION and SELF PERFECTION. SELF PRESERVATION represents all the student needs to defend themselves in the event of a real-life attack by an aggressor. This is the same tried and proven system taught to the Navy SEAL's, CIA, FBI, DEA, and over fifty law enforcement agencies nationwide. SELF PERFECTION involves incorporation of many arts, with Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do serving as the foundation. This part of the art allows for expression of ones self in discipline, honest training, and self exploration. One of Bruce Lee's greatest philosophies is " Research your own experiences. Absorb what is useful. Disregard what is useless. Add what is specifically your own." My goal is to bring my eighteen years of martial arts experience, coupled with the knowledge I have obtained from some of the greatest martial artists in the world, to present a program that has practical application. This is accomplished in a setting that is fun, non- competitive, and allows for individual expression of the student's interest and attributes.
