Detail: We offer classes in Shorinryu Kenshin-Kan Karate-do, the traditional Okinawan martial art of Grandmaster Fusei Kise of Okinawa, Japan. We maintain an active affiliation with Master Kise and through his federation, the Okinawa Shorinryu Matsumura Seito Karate and Kobudo Federation and the All Okinawa Shorinryu Karate and Kobudo Federation. We also offer from time to time, classes in tai chi and kickboxing for self-defense. The chief instructor of the Athens Karate School is Mr. John Shipes, Shihan, Hachidan who is one of three United States Directors of Master Kise’s organization, along with Mr. Greg Lazarus, Shihan, Hachidan of Dover, New Hampshire and Mr. Jeff Ader, Shihan, Hachidan of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
