Detail: We are a school of traditional Okinawan Karate and Kobudo. Karate is a form of fighting practiced without weapons – literally it means “empty handâ€. Kobudo literally translated means “ancient or classical martial wayâ€. We use this term to refer to a method of fighting using ancient, simple weapons. At DeSoto Karate you will learn and practice Karate as it is practiced in Okinawa today. From your practice you will become more fit, better able to defend yourself, and enjoy a sense of self-improvement.
