Detail: Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is an amazing martial art which provides the tools necessary to defend oneself against much larger opponents. It does not require strength, power or agility. BJJ has been proven effective in the no holds barred arena time and again, first by the world famous Gracie family which began teaching in the 1920's. Over time, it has accordingly been incorporated into the training regimen of practically every martial art worldwide as well as the United States military. We have been providing instruction in Traditional Gracie Jiu-Jitsu for more than three years now in the Columbia, South Carolina area. Emphasis is placed on the fundamentals as opposed to fancy, sportive techniques which are not particularly effective on the street. Please stop by our new location today and ask about our FREE introductory class.
