Detail: The Academy of Martial Arts is a modern, well-equipped martial arts training center serving greater Sumter, South Carolina. We are the “hombu†or home dojo for the Bushishin Budo Renmei, which teaches the art of Kamishin Kempo Karate in several schools on the eastern seaboard. Under the direction of Shihan Harold Hicks, the Sumter school operates with a staff of ten black belt instructors, providing regular scheduled karate classes for students of all ages. New students may begin karate training at any time. The first two classes are free, and family discounts are available. We also offer a variety of fitness, self defense and wellness classes to meet the needs of the Sumter community. Training in karate promotes self-discipline, respect, physical fitness and personal character. If you would like to know more about our school, please send an e-mail, call, or pay us a visit.
