Detail: The martial art taught at this academy is Chuan-Fa Kajukenbo . Kajukenbo is an eclectic blend of five Asian martial arts - Ka (Karate), Ju (Judo and Jujitsu), Ken (Kenpo), and Bo (Chinese Boxing). This form of self defense was developed in Hawaii during the rugged post WWII years with emphasis on practical application. Superior size and strength are NOT a necessity to develop skills in Chuan-Fa and thus can be taught to a wide variety of participants. Sifu Rick Cropper personally leads most all training in self defense, weapons, traditional martial art forms and tournament point sparring. The ultimate goal of Kajukenbo is perfection of character, cultivation of health and fitness through excellence in martial art training.
