We offer Israeli martial arts and self defense classes for adults, children, women, families, security teams and Law Enforcement Officials of Los Angeles and Ventura county areas. The Israeli Martial Arts Academy, Westlake Village is conveniently located near Agoura Hills and Thousand Oaks. Our Academy has the highest level of Israeli martial arts and self defense training in the communities of Ventura, Camarillo, Thousand Oaks, Newbury Park, Agoura Hills, Westlake Village, Simi Valley, Calabasas, Moorpark, Oak Park and Woodland Hills. The Israeli Martial Arts Academy, Westlake Village is the first U.S branch of the well known system "Dennis Survival" (Often referred to as Hisardut) which was created in Israel by Dr. Dennis Hanover who dedicates his life to teaching others how to defend themselves. Since 1960 Dennis and his loyal black belt instructors have been teaching thousands of students of all ages and experience levels how to protect and stand up for themselves in any situation (as featured on the History Channel's "Human Weapon" Krav Maga episode). Hisardut will teach you effective Israeli self defense skills in a positive, safe, clean, progress oriented environment (a great way to stay in shape and reduce stress). Our classes are designed to meet specific learning needs for people of different ages, gender and levels. From a technical perspective, the system we teach is the original reality based "mixed martial arts" combining and seamlessly integrating aspects of Karate, Judo and Jiu Jitsu together to form effective responses to all manner of threats and attacks, be they unarmed e.g. punches, holds, controls on the ground, etc or armed. The system looks to educate and develop the individual, so that they have both the skills and the mindset to defend themselves and use this unique self defense technique against vicious and violent assaults - Defeating Violence with Honor. We are sure you will find our Academy an exciting and challenging place, which will allow you to achieve your goals. This unique Academy is open to anyone in the Los Angeles and Ventura County areas, offering professional and challenging training. Come join us for a FREE intro class!
