Alexandre began his Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) training at the age of 15 in Rio de Janeiro, the birthplace of BJJ. Alexandre has been a BJJ practitioner for over 24 years. He received his black belt in 1999 under Jorge Pereira, a disciple of Rickson Gracie. Alexandre is currently a Third Degree black belt. Alexandre is an international champion and he is highly respected within the BJJ community. The Novaes Academy is a family-friendly Academy where men, women, and children of all ages can be part of the fastest growing martial art style.
