Detail: Sensei Thomas Torpey is our head instructor. Sensei Tom has been studying The Martial Arts for twenty years. He started Martial Arts in Shotokan Karate, where he earned a second degree black belt. Under Shihan Juan Perez, who is a descendent of Sensei Miazaki. Always seeking greater knowledge and skills to become a more versatile athlete and teacher...he began learning new arts and started experimenting with teaching multi-style Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). He began to study about the psychological side of peak performance and added in success principals. That idea started a life skills curriculum that is designed to influence a student’s attitude, behavior, and character. Noted for his ability to train and coach students of all ages, Sensei Torpey has become instrumental in helping many of them become successful Black Belts and leaders in their community.
