Detail: We are a traditional martial arts dojo, offering training in Shorin-Ryu, Goju-Ryu and Kobudo Our dojo is affiliated with Shidokan International, a sanctioning body that provides our teaching and training level certification. Shidokan was established by Dr. Soke Richie Bernard, who has attained the highest attainable teaching grade in the martial arts. After many years and at great expense, he was able to recieve certification from the Japanese Ministry of education, establishing that our training parallels the curriculum one would receive in a dojo in Okinawa or Japan. We are not an MMA or “alternative†martial arts school. Our goal is to perpetuate the traditional martial arts and benefits of training in an art form, and although we enjoy the art of sparring it with safety in mind, not brutalization of the opponent. Our martial arts sparring matches end with the competitors hugging each other and thanking each other for the experience. There are many choices when it comes to martial arts training. we welcome you to visit our dojo and experience what we have to offer.
