Detail: The first thing you should know about us, is that it’s not about us… It’s about you. You may come to us looking to get in shape, relieve stress, wanting to understand more about the fights you see on TV, walk with more confidence, meet new people, experience an inner calmness, or any number of valid reasons. Whatever your goal is, odds are we will support it and can help you achieve it. Next, you should know that we are not a “fight club.†We are here to educate, train, and better ourselves, not to hurt each other. Think “martial artists,†not “meatheads.†We recognize that no matter how hard we try to assure you, walking through our door is going to be frightening to many of you, but that is where it will end. We have women, children, and seniors, doctors, lawyers, and stay at home moms, training safely with and alongside professional fighters. Lastly, we’d like to tell you why we are here. Evolution MMA opened to fill a void, as no other gym in the area provided the proper environment, structure, or focus to produce the kind of talent we do. Our core discipline will always be Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and we make sure you have a good understanding of that before (and if) you start MMA style training. Furthermore, we have a structured fundamentals program to ensure a solid foundation in BJJ is built quickly. This foundation will not only quickly provide you with a very strong and well-rounded ground game, but ensure you are able to continue improving without having to fix bad habits first.
