Detail: Boys and Girls, ages 5 and up enjoy co-ed classes of Wado-Ryu Karate. Classes offered Monday through Friday evenings and Saturday mornings. Build Self-confidence. Improve self discipline, self-control, mental focus, and physical fitness. Lose weight. Relieve stress. Increase flexibility. Classes in traditional karate techniques: Kihon (basics), Kata (forms), and Kumite (sparring) make up the core program. Classes in self-defense such as escaping hand & arm grabs, and applying wrist locks augment the core program. Instructions in the use of weapons such as the Bo, Tonfa, Sai, Kama, Eku, and Nunchaku are offered to round out a more complete training experience.
