While our school has grown through the years we still maintain our family atmosphere, adhere to our original commitment and strive to provide you with one of the most rewarding experiences of your life. Our style is a mixture of methods and principals from many sources, including but not limited to: Tae Kwon-Do Chung Do Kwan, Small Circle Jujitsu, American Kenpo and Krav Maga. A.K.A. is a down-line from the long standing Allen Steen system that originated in Texas as introduced by the Korean Grandmaster Jhoon Rhee in the late 1950’s. American Karate Academy adheres to the traditional values and life skills that the martial arts are recognized for. This is a family-oriented martial art school that is dedicated to our community. Your senior instructors, Mr. and Mrs. Green, have three children who have attained the rank of black belt. At A.K.A. there is an abundance of family's training together. We believe that several different emphasis points must come together to make a whole. So, not only are we self-defense experts but, our trainng curriculum enhances and brings to the forefront all of the mental and physical benefits that top quality martial art programs are known for. Our age specific programs instill valuable life skills to include courtesy, respect, patience and self control . The benefits continue with premier strength, conditioning and flexibility gains. We help you achieve a can do,never give up attitude with increased self esteem and the self discipline to follow through. We have Fun!
