Detail: HapKiDo, often referred to as the "Art of Coordinated Power," does not rely on physical strength to subdue an assailant, but rather an understanding of body mechanics and the principles of circular motion and nonresistance. HapKiDo is the perfect blending of self-defense techniques (joint-locks, leg sweeps, throws), kicks and punches. Since HapKiDo does not rely on physical strength, it is a martial art that is practiced by students of all ages, genders, physiques and backgrounds.
