Detail: Kor-Am Tae Kwon Do opened in December of 1990. Since then, men, women, children and families have been enjoying the benefits of Korean martial arts. Under the direction of 6th degree Master Scott Lindeberg, 4th degree chief instructor Sanghee Lindeberg, and a growing pool of Black Belt students and instructors, Kor-Am brings traditional style TKD training to everyone interested in building a healthy mind, body and spirit. Beginners train alongside experienced martial artists who have been involved in Tae-Kwon-Do for as long as 25 years. Kor-Am is affiliated with the “World Tae-Kwon-Do Federationâ€, headquarters at the Kukkiwon in Seoul, Korea. The WTF is recognized around the world in over 140 countries. Each student begins training as a “no-belt†and earns his/her white belt on their 5th lesson. Progressing through the colored belts requires that each student pass a test consisting of forms, or “poomseâ€, kicking combinations, sparring, self-defense, and Korean terminology. The dedicated trainee can achieve their black belt in 3 years. Once a martial artist reaches black belt at Kor-Am, he/she can expect black belt class, black belt camp, tournament judging and referee training, weapons training and continuing advancement through the 9 degrees of Black Belt. Tae-Kwon-Do at Kor-Am is truly a journey that can bring you enjoyment, challenges, physical fitness, and life skills that will last a life time. Master and Mrs. Lindeberg teach classes every day, will know you personally, will understand your needs and help you reach your goals in the martial arts.
