Detail: The Springfield Intercounty program is for players who are interested in playing recreational soccer. Each season, more than 130 players on approximately ten teams represent Springfield in the Intercounty Youth Soccer League. The Springfield soccer travel program is for Boys and Girls who are interested in playing soccer at a more competitive level than the Intercounty recreation program. Springfield currently has 6 travel teams that participate in the the Morris County Youth Soccer League. Travel teams play in the fall and spring against teams from central and northern New Jersey. In addition, many teams also participate in “holiday†tournaments several times a season. Travel players practice a minimum of two days a week and compete on Sundays. The travel program constantly challenges players to realize their highest potential through intensive training and competition.
