Detail: North Huntington Beach F.C. first team hit the pitch in 1977 under the guidance of our first President and coach Steve Oliver of Huntington Beach. In 1981 Steve felt that the referee world needed some help which was his first love. His title was State Youth Referee Administrator which oversaw all referees in CYSA-S. He asked George and June Mitton to take over his soccer club that year. George said no but June persuaded George to take over the helm. He has been the President of the club till this day. June Mitton was the backbone of the club till she passed away in (1997). Her love and dedication to the game was duly noticed by CYSA-S in 1992 when they inducted her into the "Hall of Fame."
