Detail: Jefferson County Soccer Club (JCSC) is one of three clubs that form the Northwest Sound Youth Soccer Association (NSYSA). The two other clubs in our association are Bainbridge Island and North Kitsap. We are in District 4 of the Washington State Youth Soccer Association. This District encompasses the Kitsap and northern Olympic peninsula. We play teams from all over the northern Olympic Peninsula. Half of our games are played “away” in Bremerton, Poulsbo, Silverdale, Bainbridge Is. etc., and half of our games are played on our home fields at H.J. Carroll Park. We run a 10 week Fall season for the Club Rec. teams and a 14 week season for the Club Select teams. Most of our teams play at the “recreational” level. Players are assigned to teams according to age guidelines which are defined by the U.S. Youth Soccer Association. The primary goal is to enable as many kids to play as possible, not to create a winning team. Competitive (or Select) level teams are formed through a tryout process when it is determined by a team’s coach that his or her team can compete at the select level. This club exists due to the volunteer efforts of many of the players’ parents and others. All board members, managers, coordinators, and recreational level coaches are volunteers. Referees are paid per game by the club. There always is a need for more participation, please join in. Attending a club meeting is a good first step.
