Detail: Fallbrook Youth Soccer League was established by Fallbrook High Jr. Varsity Coach John Buehman in 1976, with the help of Al Povey, and Jim Olexa. In early 2009 the name of the competitive club changed from Fallbrook Fury to Fallbrook Villa FC, as the trend for competitive teams was to adopt the moniker of well known European teams. Aston Villa is considered to be one of the most successful clubs in England's rich football history. By changing the name, it allowed players to have professional, quality team to follow and associate with. Another name change occured in early 2011, when the board voted to change the name of the league to Fallbrook Bonsall Youth Soccer League, to embrace, and welcome our neighboring community of Bonsall. The Fallbrook Bonsall Youth Soccer League now serves over 60 recreational teams each year and 11 or more competitive teams, consisting of over 650 players and we continue to strive for excellence in youth soccer.
