Karate is the ultimate method of unarmed self-defense. Through your karate training you will develop body and breath control, achieve greater flexability, improve muscle tone and strength, as well as cardiovascular endurance while learning to defend yourself. Just as you are never too old to become a victim, you are never too old to learn self-defense. Classes for beginning, intermediate and advanced students, including classes specifically geared for children 12 and under, are offered on a year round basis. In the martial arts industry, the Robert Bowles Karate Academy is known as the "School of Champions". Grand Master Bowles and his staff have trained national champions in every division from Pee Wee children to Men and Women Black Belts in Fighting (Kumite), Form (Kata) and Weapons (Kobudo). Since 1972 the Robert Bowles Karate Academy has been recognized in the martial arts community as one of the "Top Ten" karate schools in the country. The Robert Bowles Karate Academies are open six days a week with over twenty classes available to accommodate both day and evening schedules.
