My mission as an instructor is to encourage and motivate my students. I will help students to look beyond the circumstances of today toward the possibilities of tomorrow. I will be positive in my assessment of their abilities. I will be realistic in my expectations. I will help students to realize that they have choices and I will help them to choose wisely. This mission statement reflects my true beliefs. It helps me to be mindful of my role as an instructor and it aids me in assessing and re-evaluating my efforts. Focusing on my goals will help to ensure my actions are in line with my beliefs.
