Detail: Mike Ziniak began his Martial Arts training in 1981 at the Chae Rhee Institute of Taekwondo in Bridgeport, CT, earning his Black Belt in 1985. In 1986 the institute became East Coast Academy of Taekwondo; owned and operated by Master Edward Mezerewski. Mike Ziniak continues to be affiliated with Master Mezerewski, participating in competitions around the tri-state area. After serving in the US Army for three years and continuing to train in Taekwondo, Mike Ziniak earned his 5th degree Black Belt. In July of 2006, Mike Ziniak's Academy of Tae Kwon Do was opened located in Oxford, CT. His devotion to the art of Taekwondo, and to the first instructors who put him on the path to become a true and dedicated Martial Artist and teacher, will always be the foundation of his methods. On Saturday, June 23, 2012 Mr. Ziniak was promoted to a 5th Degree Black Belt by Grand Master Edward Mezerewski of East Coast Tae Kwon Do, in Fairfiield, CT.
