Detail: Ridgecrest Martial Arts Academy is the vision of Philip and Lisa Surprenant. Our goal is twofold. First is to provide you with the tools and training you need to possibly save your or your loved ones life in an unforeseeable event. It is our belief the harnessing of such inner power through training EFECTIVE Martial Arts changes lives forever. Notice I said effective. Ineffective forms, katas and styles are not going to provide what we want you to walk away with at Ridgecrest Martial Arts Academy. These systems are leaving people overconfident with a false sense of security that will get you hurt or killed in situations you should be able to handle after years of training. You will walk away from every one of our classes with something you can use, something else to put in your arsenal, one more technique or concept to boost to your confidence and abilities to be able to more effectively stay in control throughout challenging situations. You will be provided the opportunity to train the hottest most effective martial arts today: Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Kickboxing, and Kali/Eskrima. This gives you training in all ranges of hand to hand combat for sport or self defense. Top it off with Progressive Fighting Systems training to get the same training Paul gave to the legendary Seal Team Six and you are a highly trained martial artist ready for the unexpected and unthinkable. These are life saving techniques available to you. Our second goal is to change your life and our community through empowering law abiding individuals. I would like business owners walking out of their businesses at night with a little more confidence. We want our valley of engineers walking with their families holding themselves with a posture that will not allow an attack. Like a lion with his pride. Attackers and bullies pray on low confidence, lets walk like we are packing a 45 in our belt. I want the soccer mom to know her risks and options when startled in a dark parking lot. Most of all I want to empower our future leaders of Ridgecrest. Effective Martial arts is far more than learning to kick punch and throw someone to the ground and no matter what reason a youth steps into our class positive results begin to occur! Confidence, discipline, self control, focus and concentration all increase over time. The longer one is enrolled in an effective martial art system the more it becomes a positive way of life. We are training well rounded martial artist and the results will be a balance within that spills over into every aspect of your life including our community.
