Detail: East Texas Martial Arts is a full service, traditional Martial Arts Academy owned & operated my Mr. Gary & Tyler Jones in Texarkana, Texas. ETMA is now offering traditional Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at an affordable price. The program is actively recruiting new members who are serious about learning and competing in the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The BJJ class is being instructed by Shon Foreman who is currently ranked as a blue belt under Professors Jory & Abby Malone of Revolution Mixed Martial Arts in Benton Arkansas. Revolution MMA is an affiliate of the Robson Moura Nova Uniao BJJ Team. Robson Moura is a 7x BJJ World Champion! Coach Foreman is a current member and student of the Revolution Academy where he trains and learns technique and application from some of the best, most notable BJJ practitioners around....which he passes along to his students at ETMA. Coach Foreman is a registered member of the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation and is also a Certified IBJJF Referee. The BJJ program is NOT a fast moving, dollar generating program. This program is developed from an effective and proven curriculum. Perfection in the art of BJJ takes time, patience and plenty of practice. You will be taught the basics of BJJ and how to control an opponent on the ground through proper application of technique. You must be able to control your opponent before you can submit them! If you want to learn random techniques that you will never be able to apply outside of the classroom, there is a BJJ school for you, but this is not it! Entering into the ETMA BJJ program requires patience and dedication which will result in rewards both on and off the mat! All BJJ students are ranked & promoted by IBJJF certified Black Belts.
