Detail: Adults and children alike who are interested and participate in the martial arts do it for many different reasons. Some do it for the discipline and the ability of greater mental focus. Others are drawn by the physical nature of training and conditioning, while others are interested in the aspects of self-defense and self-confidence. Remember self-confidence and self-awareness is self-defense. This is one of our primary philosophies. Whichever you may be interested in; the programs at Smithtown Judo are designed to be fun, exciting and fulfilling regardless of your objectives. Adult Programs- Our Adult programs, from beginner to advanced and on to competitors, allow the students to grow at their own pace while increasing stamina conditioning and strength of mind body and soul. Children Programs- Our children programs, from Little Tiger to advanced, teach children respect and discipline; but also teach self-confidence, the major component of self-defense. Competitors- Our competitor program is the most rigorous. Those who wish to compete at the national, or maybe international level, can train with instructors who not only have the experience of succeeding at those levels; many of them are still competing today.
