Detail: Michael Pace is the head instructor at Pace Institute of Karate in Vernon, NJ. Shihan Pace started his training in the martial arts in 1967. For many years he taught for his instructor, Grandmaster Hanshi John Stellingwerf. In 1990 he opened his own school and in 1993 he opened a location in Vernon, NJ. Shihan Pace is a 9th Degree Black Belt in Goshin-Ryu Karate. He is currently the President of the American Goshin-Ryu Karate Association. He is a member of the United States Martial Arts Hall of Fame. He has been studying personal life skills training for over forty years and has a passion for teaching character development, life skills and leadership training to his students.The Pace Institute of Karate was founded in 1994. They have been at their current location of 4 Vernon Crossing Rd. Glenwood (Vernon), NJ since 1995. The institute is located in the Someplace Special Square on the corner of Route 517.Our staff here in Vernon, NJ has the confidence and belief that anyone can succeed in any of our programs while having a lot of fun doing so. Students will achieve many different skills and techniques and will feel a sense of accomplishment. The staff specializes in teaching children and families. Beginners are nurtured to learn excellent martial arts skills, courtesy, respect and self-discipline. Pace Institute of Karate is committed to providing the highest quality training available and is proud to say that we will give a positive learning environment in which individuals of all ages can benefit from. Our adult program is taught in a friendly relaxed atmosphere with an emphasis on forms and practical self-defense training.
