Detail: Are you wondering what a martial art class is like but you would like to be able to observe a class before you join or even try a class with no obligation? Would you like to learn a martial art in a low stress family friendly environment? Are you an adult that would like to be able to train with other adults and not just kids? Are you an adult that would like to get some flexibility back, strength, and energy without having to start a regimented workout routine at the local gym? Would you rather be in shape and have something to show for it other than being able to run on the treadmill? We believe that we provide a fresh environment to meet the situations above and more. We are part of a well established association with a large presence across the state of Missouri. We have a structured class schedule, a structured class format, regularly scheduled belt testings and promotions, and well established requirements for training up to master level and beyond. Even with all this structure, we strive to teach martial arts in an inviting setting that will make you want to come to class. We have two separate classes, one geared towards kids and families, and one with a slightly more serious feel for adults and advanced students. We don't train kids, or adults for that matter, how to ignore pain and inflict pain. We instead focus on being healthy, promoting positive self esteem, how to walk away from fights, how to be role models, and defend yourself only if absolutely necessary. We even have the ability to modify some requirements to work with some physical disabilities or previous injuries. Feel free to come up during class to observe or wear your workout clothes and join in!
