Detail: Mr. Monahan started martial arts training in 1979 at the age of 12 and attained a black belt in Tae Kwon Do in 1984. Mr. Monahan opened his first martial arts center in 1984 and has been teaching martial arts professionally in the Winona area ever since. The Martial Arts Center moved to its current location at 119 West 3rd Street in 1993. Mr. Monahan received a black belt in Shito-ryu Karate in 1997, and has trained with some of the top martial arts masters in the world, including Fumio Demura, Dan Inosanto, Dan Severn, and Hidetaka Nishiyama. Mr. Monahan is a full-time martial arts instructor and currently teaches at his Center in Winona and provides corporate on-site training classes throughout the Winona area.
