Detail: Mission Statement To provide a fun and positive family learning environment for martial arts training that will develop the student physically, mentally and emotionally. Philosophy We acknowledge that Taekwondo is not only a physical sport and martial art, but also a means to develop a person’s mind, body and spirit. Our organization’s goal is to provide a positive learning environment for students of all ages. We will accomplish this through teaching positive characteristics such as courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control and indomitable spirit to all of our students and by setting an example inside and outside of the school. We will work to give our students the confidence and skills to defend themselves should the situation arise. First and foremost we shall teach students how to avoid potentially dangerous situations and how to resolve conflict in a peaceful way. As an added benefit, we will work with our students to achieve an increased level of physical fitness through their martial arts training. This will help build confidence, self-esteem and self-respect which will carry over into their daily lives. We pledge to provide a highly trained professional staff, clean, well kept facilities, top quality instruction, and a high level of customer service at all times. Purpose of the Family Martial Arts Academy The Family Martial Arts Academy was created with the purpose of providing a governing body organization that melded the business of martial arts with the teaching of martial arts, with the student, instructor, business, and organization in mind. Maintaining a consistent and fair balance without sacrificing the key points that make martial arts training great, and continuing the process of improvement can be extremely difficult. The Family Martial Arts Academy takes into consideration all the participants from the students to the business and finds the fine line that makes the training worth while and still holds true to the art.
